Horizontal orientation to optimize performance

The Legend L900 height module is Dolby Atmos certified and designed to meet the DTS:X specification. In conventional lift-height speakers, the tweeter and woofer are oriented vertically, which reduces the optimal listening area and can be disappointing to the listener. Thanks to the horizontal orientation of the L900 height module, the phase and time alignment of the tweeter and woofer allows for a wide optimal listening area, guaranteeing a truly immersive experience.

Flush mounting system

The Polk Legend height module is a flush mount system. This not only offers a cleaner appearance, but also reduces the effects of screen diffraction, guaranteeing the listener a more uniform frequency and time response.

Integrated sealed enclosure

Once installed with the L600 or L800 , the height module creates a high quality sealed enclosure. A Phoenix connector helps reduce bass loss and suppress room wall resonances.

New 20mm Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter

Redefining Hi-Res: Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter

More than 40 years of creating tweeter innovations, designs and prototypes have led to the creation of the new Pinnacle 2.5 centimeter ring radiator high definition tweeter. Developed by Polk Audio, this tweeter provides extremely clear and crisp highs, without unwanted coloration or distortion. The Pinnacle tweeter employs a precisely tuned waveguide that significantly improves the dispersion of high-frequency energy to provide a wide optimal listening area, while the carefully damped rear chamber helps eliminate any unwanted resonance. High-resolution certified, the Pinnacle tweeter is designed for today's two-channel music listening, as well as multi-channel 3D sound for music content, movies, sports and video game soundtracks.

New turbine cone

Polk has developed the new turbine cone specifically for the Legend series to ensure natural reproduction of the mid frequencies, to which our ears are so sensitive. The turbine cone combines Polk's exclusive foam core and molded turbine geometry, which significantly improves stiffness and damping, without increasing mass. The result is a smooth, detailed midrange and natural bass. You hear every detail.

Best bass by design: Enhanced Power Port Technology

Conventional bass reflex ports make noise (chug) and mask the low frequencies you want to hear. Thanks to the new design with Enhanced Power Port® technology, airflow smoothly passes from the speaker to the listening area, allowing for stronger, clearer bass while minimizing vibration, distortion and port noise. Polk has optimized its famous Power Port technology specifically for the Legend series, fine-tuning the port's flared geometry. The difference is heard and felt; Polk's Enhanced Power Port® technology produces less port noise and stronger, clearer bass than traditional ported speakers. Two long-excursion, long-throw woofers provide deep, detailed, natural bass for music and home theater.

Enclosure designed to improve performance

In Polk's opinion, speakers should be attractive, but they don't add anything to the playback. Polk Legend Series fixtures, mounts, and internal structures are carefully designed to minimize unwanted internal standing waves and eliminate unwanted resonances.
